As the title of this blog entry states there was a 5k, a wedding, and a pink pop involved in our activities this past week. Saturday was a grueling day, dealing with the calamity caused by the storm, the heat, shooting a 5k run, and a wedding! Pro photographers suck it up and keep shooting no matter the event, or conditions as Mike and I did! For the past 3 years, we've worked with the Semper Fi Fund, the Semper Fi Fund is a non-profit organization that helps injured Marines by providing financial assistance. The Semper Fi Fund 5k is organized by Zach Burstein and if we weren't busy shooting photos for the event, Mike and I would probably be running in support of the cause! The event attracted over 1000 participants and spectators and generated over $1,000 in support of injured Marines!

Following the 5k Mike and I hustled home on our motorcycles to freshen up after spending several hours in the heat, and we witnessed a taste of armageddon as we saw cars collide into each other because of out of order traffic lights, and closed gas stations, but we weren't thrown off track, we kept moving....we had a wedding to get to!

We capped the day off at a wedding, starting at the National Harbor and ending at Oxon Hill Manor, and very very beautiful location. The wedding was entirely outdoors! The couple Donald Hicks and Jennifer Sween couldn't have chosen a better location! Donald is native to the DC area and Jennifer hails from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada! I'd highly advise anyone planning marriage in the DMV (D.C., Maryland Virginia) to consider Oxon Hill Manor!

After I recovered from all of the work, my wife informed me she finished working on our new prop! She's now working on a victorian sofa, which I hope to be finished within 2-3 weeks! My wife studied art at the University of Bonn, near Cologne, Germany so she's a big behind the scenes help! If you've been to our studio, you've already seen the awesome...sexy headboard she made from scratch! Most newcomers can't believe our headboard was made from scratch! I'll post some photos of the new sofa soon!
