What qualifies Capital Boudoir photographers as boudoir photographers?
Over 200 clients and 18 months expanding our boudoir portfolio full time, as well as our background in editorial, weddings, and portraits. Some of our cut-sheets are available on our "About Us" page, and we also recommend reading our reviews from past clients on Google and Yelp!
How do I prepare after my session is booked?
Once your session is booked, well send you an email which goes into detail on how to prepare. In the meantime you should consider the following: manicure and pedicure, waxing, eyebrow shaping, as well as having your hair touched-up. We believe in getting the image right in camera followed up with editing to enhance the image.
Do you provide a make-up artist?
Yes, we have a few make-up artist (MUA). Our MUAs are an additional service depending on the package you select. Our MUAs are professionally trained and experienced with applying make-up for a photography production set. If you choose not to use our MUAs, we recommend you have your hair and make-up done professionally done. Well done hair and make-up makes a difference in your images.
What should I bring to my boudoir session? Do you have a wardrobe?
We offer limited items such as high heels, jewelry, and corsets!
Your lingerie should include items such as matching bra and panty sets, garters, thigh high stockings, a corset, a teddy, camisole, chemise, and a robe. We suggest bringing a variety of colors and will consult you on what looks best.
If you're a soon-to-be we recommend you bring your favorite white lingerie. Well provide a veil and garter for bridal boudoir sessions.
Other must have items include footwear such as high heels and boots, jewelry, ties, hats, and scarves. We also recommend you bring anything accessory you feel will make your session a more personalized experience. Hot items such as your beaus favorite apparel shirt and tie perhaps or a sports jersey they'll love it!
Where would you recommend purchasing cute lingerie?

Will I be required to get nude?
No, sexy is not about how much skin you show, its all about the manner in which you show it! Take it from us, most men find it alluring when a woman leaves something for the imagination!
My session is approaching, but Im getting cold feet!
Its not unusual to feel nervous or self-conscious about having a boudoir session. Well guide you through each pose and experienced with capturing all body types to expose your beauty. We will not put you on the sport nor do we expect you to have supermodel experience, although you'll be treated liked one. You'll be coached on how to give sexy poses and sultry looks for the camera. During your boudoir session youll have time to relax and get comfortable which will be projected in your final images. Leave the hard work to us just relax and have fun!
I have areas on my body that are not photogenic, what should I do about them?
Items such as corsets and stockings help hide love handles and shape legs. We'll also work with you to pose you in the most flattering way. After your session, all images are retouched to enhance your features.
How long before I can see my images?
We offer same day viewing and ordering in our studio!
How many images will I have to choose from?
We'll capture lots of images during your session. After your session has ended, well carefully review each image, selecting the images that meet the standards of Capital Boudoir. The images that do not meet our standards are removed from the selection process.
Will my images be shown on your website?
We do not display images on website or blog without our clients consent. Once your session has ended well provide an optional model release form that is voluntary to sign. If you do not give consent to display your images, they will not be seen by anyone other than our staff. We respect the privacy of our clients.
I have a friend who is interested in booking a boudoir session as well!
Awesome! We have a great referral plan for each person you refer to Capital Boudoir. You'll receive a credit towards any of our products or an additional session. You can earn unlimited credit, so take advantage and spread the word about us!
Credits are awarded once we have received full session fee from the person you've referred. Credits have no cash value, and are non-transferable.
Can I give a boudoir session as a gift?
Definitely! A boudoir session is a very special gift! We offer Gift Certificates for session fees and/or products.
