Greetings,

we've received several phone calls and emails from clients wishing to book an appointment before July 29th, because their Living Social voucher purchased in January expires on July 29th. Although the voucher does expire July 29th, 2012, does not mean the photo shoot has to be completed by that date. The voucher means you should contact us by July 29th to simply schedule an appointment. At the present time we are solid booked for July, August is almost filled, and we are excepting appointments for September and October.

If you fail to schedule your appointment by July 29th, you can still use your voucher. The paid value of the voucher expires July 17th, 2017 meaning will give you a $99 credit toward any of our services or products. The promotion value expires July 29th, 2012 and the deal originally purchased will not be valid after that date.

We've been hustling.."every day we're hustling, hustle, hustle, hustle hard," since we moved into our new home in April. All work and no play leads to not so happy photographers, so its time to play! Join us for our grand opening in our new studio! Our first studio was a large warehouse that we redecorated in Chantilly, Va then we decided to work the boutique hotels in Washington D.C., before settling in our new home in old town Alexandria, VA. There will be food, door prizes....what free stuff..yup!

After a busy week over here at Capital Boudoir, the feedback is rolling in! Nothing is more motivating than a successful boudoir session and happy clients! Mrs. S. lots of wonder things to say about her boudoir session in Washington D.C.!

"Thank you a thousand times over!! They turned out better than I could have ever imagined! You are truly talented and I will certainly recommend you to everyone!" was the first one Mrs. S sent to me then when I emailed back to make sure it was ok to use her words on the blog she wrote this... 

"You can absolutely use my words as a testimony! In fact, I want to add that I was kind of nervous about the whole thing and probably would consider myself a little bit of a control freak. But you made me feel really comfortable and take a nerve-wracking experience and make it really casual and fun, while all the same time being professional, so kudos to you!" 

Mrs. S had even more kind words once she received her products in time for Valentine's Day...

"Mike! You guys are awesome! I may have said that already...anyways, the book did arrive in time and it couldn't be anymore perfect! Thank you again and again!"

This past weekend was another busy weekend for John and I. Due to Valentine's day nearing, we had dual sessions occurring in Northern Virginia and D.C....9 that is! One of my clients was doing a bridal session and was kind enough to allow me to use of couple of her images for the blog....yaay! We always ask our clients to bring items that define their personality, so my client brought a pair of cowboy boots! We've also had clients bring lizards, books, and even a motorcycle! We also know that privacy is key to our clients and we always ask if we can use an image before we post it.

Occasionally we get request for female photographer, understandable. Some believe females naturally produce better boudoir images, others have religious customs which must be observed. Our goal is to offer our service and make as many people as possible happy with quality boudoir images. I recently read and article which I'd like to re-syndicate  "Is the gender of a boudoir photographer important"

"Ed Verosky, a photographer from Austin, Texas, commented, “Many female photographers play up the idea that their clients will be more comfortable with a woman as their boudoir photographer.”

I’ve seen those ads, too, and like a lot of ads, they say one thing and mean another. In this context, “more comfortable” is a marketing euphemism for “safer” that exploits fear—the fear that a male photographer is somehow, I don’t know, genetically incapable of treating a woman with dignity and respect while creating great boudoir images of her. Nonsense!.....
